Bound By Chains: A Dark Erotic Romance (Shattered Hearts Trilogy Book 2) by L. M. Roberts Picks up with Everly living on the streets after escaping Talon’s house with no food and no place to go. She is trying to get a hold of her father to no avail. She has feelings for Talon and misses him but refuses to go back to his house. Talon has been looking for Everly ever since he was able to get out of his house. He knows when he finds her he will make her pay for what she did to him and the way she left. He wants his Pet back and could care less what he needs to do. Even after he finds out who she really is and what she is capable of doing he is not deterred from getting her back. Once he does the story took a twist I did not see coming. I really loved the characters and Talon was a sick sexy killer who had to fight his feelings once Everly comes back into his life. Everly made him feel things he never did or had not felt in a long time. After her life changing experience Everly turned into a women that was Talon’s equal. The sex was definitely hot as heck. This story had me going back and forth. I wasn’t quite sure what I felt about this book but once I got to the end I was like what the hell. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of the book and give this story 4 stars. I am hooked and can’t wait to read the final book in the series.
