Red and the Wolves is definitely not your mother’s fairytales. Well maybe it is I don’t know your mother. Anyway, this was a steamy play on Little Red Riding Hood. Very steamy and twisted. Red and the Wolves is a Dark Fantasy so make sure you read the Warning.

Red (Raina Reithaube) of course is the main character. She was raised in a village and is the hated granddaughter of Elder Hildegarde Reithaube. Hildegarde finally found a way to be rid of Red. When the Blood Moon rises the villagers sacrifice one from the village. The sacrifice is given to “The 5 Wolves” that watch over the village to keep it safe from The Dark Force.

These are 5 alpha wolves and Red must learn to obey them. Let’s just say it takes her a while to settle down to not be punished. This is after all a Dark Fantasy.

Red and the Wolves is a short book to read and I HAD to read it in one go. I didn’t want to put this story down! I enjoyed reading this book by Zoe Blake and Alta Hensley. I give Red and the Wolves 4.5 stars and I look forward to reading the next book Queen and the Kingsmen coming out next month.

Red and The Wolves by Alta Hensley & Zoe Blake is a kinky twist on a childhood fairytale Little Red Riding Hood. However Little Red Riding Hood was never quite told like this. This was definitely an X rated version with a slight variation on how the story actually went. Red in this story becomes a sacrifice to 5 wolves that have protected the village for centuries. Being the only woman in all this time to be presented to the wolves she only has the old tales of what happens to the sacrifice. Boy oh boy Red had no ideal what she was in store for when she finds herself in the midst of 5 Alphas. Each one in thier own way takes what is due them since she is the sacrifice. Once again a hot tale of an old fairytale being told for grown folks. Of course the sex was hot and kinky but the telling of this classic was really good and interesting. Kudos to these authors for bringing these stories to life. If you haven’t read Snow and The Seven Huntsman I suggest you do. Another story for grown folks. I look forward to the next fairytale they put a kinky spin on. I give this one 4.5 stars
