Belinda Baker and I were not made for each other.
We are not soul mates, or lovers, or even frenemies.
She is the one who needed to get away.
What we had together wasnโt blind love, it was sick rage.
We were a match made in hell, it was hate at first sight, and when she walked away from me and never looked backโit was a relief.
It was bliss.
So why did I travel two thousand miles so I could be near her?
Why canโt I stop thinking about this girl I never want to see again?
Why. Am I. Here?
And what do I have to do to make her disappear for good?
Bossy Brothers: Tony features two girls falling for the wrong men and two men falling for the right girls. A family of tatted up brothers and a town filled with secrets and danger. A story of earned chances and first dates. Of coming to terms with the past and finding a way into the future. It is book six in the Bossy Brothers series and should be read after book five, Bossy Brothers: Alonzo.

BELINDA
โJesus fucking Christ, Belinda!โ
โWhat?โ
โAre you blind? Or deaf? Or dumb? Or what?โ
I just stare at him.
Vann takes a step forward, forcing me to take a step back too. And my step is actually a step up. He points his finger at me. I swat it away.
โIโm gonna say this once, OK? Just once.โ
โSay whatever the fuck you want. I donโt care what you do.โ
He climbs one step. And so do I. โI like you,โ he says, climbing another step. So I climb another step. โI like your filthy mouth, Belinda Baker. I like your stupid cowboy boots. I like your pink hair.โ He keeps climbing the steps, so I have to keep climbing the steps. โI like the way you road-trip.โ
โWhat?โ Iโm so confused.
Heโs still climbing the steps and now my back is against my front door. โI like the way you wear that glitter shit on your eyelids in the summer. And the way you wear fingerless gloves in the winter even though you complain, every single day, that your fucking hands are cold. I like the way your hair smells when you show up for work and itโs still wet. I like the way you spin on your stupid stool in front of the shop cash register and glare at the giggly sorority girls like you canโt wait for them to wake up sober tomorrow and realize they just paid a hundred bucks for a My Little Mermaid tramp stamp. I like the way you bite your lip when youโre tattooing and the way you always have a smear of ink on the side of your face by the time youโre done.โ
I reach up to touch my face.
โYes, you have ink there, right now. And I love that. Because you donโt even care enough to check the mirror after youโre done with a client to notice that you always have ink smeared on your fucking face after you tattoo someone. I like the way you kick at stones when you walk down the street like youโre some troubled teen with pregnancy issues.โ
โWhat?โ I laugh.
โI like the way you bitch, and moan, and complain that no one takes you seriously. In fact, I love that no one takes you seriously, because then theyโd figure out just how awesome you are, and Iโm afraid youโll actually find someone else before I can convince you that I am good for you. I want to date you, Belinda Baker. And you know what really pissed me off tonight?โ
He pauses.
I become uneasy. โAm I supposed to guess?โ
โIโm not mad that you fucked Tony in the alley. OK? Thatโs not it. Iโm angry that you gave him the chance that I deserve.โ
My stomachโฆ falls. I donโt know of any other way to describe the feeling I get when I internalize those last few words of his. Exceptโฆ falling. Like the world has just been yanked out from under me. Like Iโm adrift in a sea of mistakes.
Because heโs absolutely right.
โVannโโ
โNo,โ he says, still seething. โNo.โ He holds up one finger. โIโm not done. You donโt get to talk yet. Iโve been holding this in all fucking night while you laughed and joked with my goddamned brother and his stupid yoked-out army friend. Who, by the way, was leering at you the entire time.โ
โHe was not!โ
โHe so was!โ
โHe was lying face down, Vann!โ
โI just want to say this.โ He pauses again and his chest is rising and falling very quickly, like heโs really upset. And his lips are falling into a deep frown. And his face is becoming flushed with heat. โI have earned my chance, Belinda. I didnโt become your friend because I wanted to get in your pants. I didnโt get you the apprentice job because I thought weโd be good together. I didnโt drive you and Tara two thousand miles to Key West because I thought maybe youโd finally see me for what I am. I did all those things because I like you. With no expectations whatsoever. I did all those things because I enjoy you. And when weโre together, life is fun. Even when weโre running from guys called Diablo, and smuggling people on boats, and especially when weโre just hanging out doing nothing. Saying nothing. Thatโs my favorite time with you. Because weโre at that place now. That place where weโre comfortable. And I keep waiting for you to see how good we are. And you justโโhe shakes his headโโrefuse! You just refuse to even consider me. But this asshole Tony Dumas shows up out of nowhere and you give him all the considerations. You say you donโt like himโโ
โI donโt!โ
โYou say that, but then why, Belinda? Why do you give him all the chances he hasnโt earned?โ

Lita T’s Review: 4 Stars
Bossy Brothers: Tony by J.A. Huss is the story of the last brother. The story picks up a short time after Alonzo ends. Tony goes to Fort Collins Co. to get information from Vann Vaughn regarding his knowledge of the FBI. While in Fort Collins Tony has decided to deal with his feelings with Belinda aka Rosalie. Initially I didn’t know how I was feeling as I was reading this book. I was on the fence. However as I got further into the story and got to where Tony and Soshee met, I started liking this story more and more. Tony started out as a real tool but turned into a Prince Charming. The relationship between Tony and Soshee was the best part of the book for me. Vann of course is a nice guy who any woman would love to have. He is a real Prince Charming from the gate and is still determined to get Belinda. We got two relationships for the price of one. The resolution between Tony and Belinda was not only funny but heart felt. I was a little confused and left with some questions with the wrap up of the FBI storyline but other than that I really enjoyed this story. Soshee stole the show for me. 4 stars for me.

Tana Rae’s rating: 4 of 5 stars
Tony is the 6th book in the Bossy Brothers. You donโt have to read the first 4 books but you do need to read Alonzo Book #5 to know the important characters & storyline for Tony.
In Alonzo, book 5 we were introduced to Tony Dumas (Alonzoโs brother), Belinda/Rosalie (she is in the witness protection program) Which is in question about but you will need to read the story to figure out why I said that. And, Vann Vaughn (he is one of the Sick Boyz tattoo artist.
I LOVE Vann, he is such a romantic and I love bad boy Tony but I didnโt like him at all when he was with Belinda. Tony travels from Key West to Fort Collins Colorado. He has a job to do but he also knows that Belinda is there. Neither Tony nor Belinda are in love with each other. You as the reader need to read what happens next! It wasnโt what I was expecting. Although I am not sure what I was expecting!
I have a friend that highly recommended JA Hussโ books and I can see why. I enjoyed reading Tonyโs story and loved the ending!
Now this is what I found out and didnโt realize. There are a lot of books that have been written by this author and they are all interconnected. Thatโs a lot of books to want to read. Now I want to go back and read them all so I can see how they are connected!
