What happens when the child that has always been good decides that she’s had enough. Kara Valari knows who she is and what she is. While the world sees one side of her family she knows that everything comes with a price. And she is that price. Her last year in collage Kara takes the class about Dante’s Inferno. She did not expect Professor Maximus Kane to stir feelings she hasn’t felt before. Professor Maximus has always held back because of his strength. After meeting Kara he finds it harder to hold back when she is pushing for more than he can give. There are secrets that can turn their world upside down. Is their attraction worth the devastation of their actions?
This is my first book by both authors and it will not be my last. I enjoyed reading the anguish between Kara and Maximus. Every time I paused in reading I would wonder what Kara or Maximus would do next. Would they indulge in each other or would they put a stop to things?

Blood of Zeus (Blood of Zeus # 1) by Meredith Wild, Angel Payne. Maximus has always know there was something about him that was different from normal people. He was bigger, stronger, faster and had feelings regular people didn’t have. At 8 years old he paralyzed his best friend in a freak accident. Now a professor he throws himself into work and the gym. When he meets a certain student in his class something in him changes. Kara is not only Hollywood royalty but a full fledged demon. Her life is planned and when the time is right she has to fulfill her demon duties. However the energy between her and Maximus has her turning her back on her obligation. Maximus knows he need to stay away from her, not only because she is a student but because of his strange abilities. Initially I didn’t realize that there were other books so I was wondering when the secrets would be revealed. Now I am so looking forward to where the authors are going to take this story. Her obligation still has to be fulfilled but how will that work now. They can’t stay away from each other. Yes the premise is different but that is what makes this story interesting. How can they be together, her a demon and him not exactly human. 4 stars for me. A three part story. Where do we go from here.

Blood of Zeus is the first part of a trilogy and this is Professor Maximus Kane and Kara Valari’s story.
Maximus Kane lectures on Dante’s Divine Comedy and Kara is sitting in on his class. Not taking it for a grade. However she didn’t get sitting in his class approved by himself. As Maximus hands the syllabus to Kara and their hands touch. There is an unexplained energy between the two of them. You see Kara is a demon and Maximus isn’t quite human. But he doesn’t know what he is. Maximus is faster & stronger than others.
Maximus and Kara spend time trying to figure the other one out. I love Paranormal’s and this one was a little different than other Paranormal’s that I have read. I enjoyed reading this book immensely. After all I do love reading about my alphas being “head-to toe-sex!
Of course there is a cliffie but I expected one since this is the first book. It still doesn’t help when you get to the end and there is nothing you can do since the next book isn’t out yet. Book 2 is Heart of Fire and it can’t come out soon enough!
