Riggs is book #11 in the Arizona Vengeance series and this is Riggs Nadeau and Veronica Woodley’s story.
Riggs has custody of his 17 year old sister and they have really had a terrible life growing up. He helps his sister Janelle get a job and is trying to keep her out of trouble. Riggs meets Veronica at Clarke’s Corner where his sister is working. At first he thinks that Veronica is “money hungry”. But he does set his sister up with Veronica so that someone keeps an eye on Janelle when he has to go to the out of town games. Janelle really likes Veronica and I do too! It takes a bit for Riggs and Veronica to find love since at first they hated each other, hate turns into dislike and eventually dislike turns into, you guessed it, LOVE.
Author Melissa Foster made her way into this book! I loved it! Aaron’s (Riggs teammate) proposal and Clarke’s confusion was the best!
I very much enjoyed Riggs and Veronica’s story and YAY Baden’s story is next!!! 4.5 Stars

Riggs(Arizona Vengeance #11) by Sawyer Bennett is the story of the reclusive and anti social Riggs. He has been on the second line of the Arizona Vengeance for a while and hasn’t made any attempt to be apart of his team except on the ice. Where all the other players hang out and are involved in each other’s lives and attend social events for the team, Riggs doesn’t. The other members do not know much about him except he is taking care of his teenage sister. I was looking forward to knowing Riggs’ story and I was not disappointed. Having to attend a mandatory party for the team and talking to Baden, Riggs knows things need to change regarding how standoffish he is. Taking the advice given he starts opening up to his team members. In the process of his metamorphosis he meets Veronica. At first they get off on the wrong foot but as Janelle starts working at the bookstore with Veronica, Riggs and Veronica’s relationship shifts. As they start out as combatives their relationship moves to ok to friends to benefits than more. It was so good seeing all the different relationships evolve into so much more. The story let us see the change in the relationship between Riggs and his teammates, Riggs and his sister Janelle and of course Riggs and Veronica. And of course with each book we get to still see the other characters and what is going on in their life. The author also gives us the groundwork for the next book. So we know Braden is the next book and yes I cannot wait for it. He is getting better after the attack. Will he get his HEA. We will see. Riggs was 4.5 stars for me.
