The Man Upstairs by Jade West. This is the first time I have read a book written by this author in a long time. I was extremely excited at reading this story. Rosie is doing the best she can. At 18 she is going to college while working at the local pizza shop. She has to work to compensate for an irresponsible mother who mismanages her money along with an abusive boyfriend. When the boyfriend is abusing her mother, Rosie goes to find help. She finally ends up at the sicko man upstairs door. This is the beginning of a relationship that had me blushing . At one point, I didn’t think I was going to be able to finish this book. The degrading and depravity that took place made me shake my head. This type of kink might appeal to some people. Definitely not me. Regardless, I did finish the story. By the last word of this story, I was smiling ear to ear and was feeling really good. This was a lovely love story of two people who had not only a big age gap but a sex life most people would not engage in. I was worried about Rosie in the beginning, but by the end of their story, I just loved her. And there was just so much more to Julian. It is a really good story in spite of the type of sex. 4.5 stars for me.
