Camden (Pittsburgh Titans, Book #8)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: August 1, 2023
Synopsis:

Camden Poe is the last of The Lucky Three, the surviving Pittsburgh Titans who werenโt on the team plane the night it went down. By all outward appearances, heโs adjusted to post-crash life well but inside heโs wrestling with the guilt of living.
The catastrophe that killed the Pittsburgh Titans changed my entire world. My teammates were more than my friendsโthey were my brothers. I mourned their loss with the rest of the nation but then I did as Iโve been taughtโฆ I moved on. I focused on returning to the ice with the newly rebuilt team and put the tragedy behind me. Considering the circumstances, I adjusted well. Or so I thought. Now Iโm plagued by nightmares of the crash and my play has suffered as a result. Facing the possibility of losing my place on the team, I need to pull myself together and fast.
My buddy and linemate, Mitch Brandt died in the crash, leaving his wife Danica and son Travis behind to pick up the pieces of their shattered family. After reconnecting with Danica at a support group meeting, I find myself inexplicably drawn to helping her and her son move forward. What starts as two friends finding solace in one another following a tragedy becomes something more, leaving us both wondering if we deserve this chance.
I feel as if Iโm walking a precarious line between a man falling for an incredible woman and a man moving in on his dead friendโs wife. But one thing is crystal clearโIโve found a peace with Danica that I wasnโt sure Iโd ever have again. Now I need to find the confidence within myself to push past the insecurities and make sure she knows how important she is to me because if I donโt, Iโll lose the one thing that makes me truly complete.

Camden by Sawyer Bennett
Tanya’s rating: 5 of 5 stars
Camden is the eighth book in the Pittsburgh Titans series and is Camden Poe and Danica Brandtโs story.
Camden is one of the team survivors. One of the lucky 3 that were not in the plane crash that killed most of the original Titans. Danica lost her husband, Mitch in the plane crash.
Danica is dealing with the death of her husband far better than Camden in being a survivor. She has allowed herself time to grieve but Camden hasnโt dealt with his grief yet.
I loved Camden and Danicaโs story. Both are scarred in different ways. Both are healing as time goes on.
Camden is narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Aaron Shedlock. As I listen, I get to feel like I am in their story. Savannah and Aaron did a fabulous job of narrating Camden! 5+ Hockey STARS for this book and the Audio portion too!
Okay so now I am seriously having withdrawals! Only one more story in this series that I know of. Bainโs story is next, and I believe the last book in this series. I love this series and the Titanโs story!!! I will hate to see it end. Now after saying that I do believe that Sawyer Bennett will write something else that I will fall in love with!
Now bring on Bainโs story! It will be here before you know it!
Lita’s Book Review: 5 STARS
Camden (Pittsburgh Titans #8) by Sawyer Bennett . Camden is one of the three teammates who wasn’t on the plane at the time of that fatal crash. Camden seems to be adjusting since the accident, but his play on the ice has not been up to standard. The coach sees that something is wrong, and when Camden misses practice, he knows he needs to step in and do something. Camden was reluctant to have to join the team support group, but when he saw Danica, he remembered. She is the wife of his old teammate, and they used to all be friends before the accident. Now Camden has decided to rekindle the friendship with Danica, if for nothing more than to help with her son and projects around the house. Due to he husband’s death, Danica has had to downsize and go to work now that her husband is gone. Sometimes, when i am reading a story in the series, I say to myself, “This character doesn’t stand out to me.” Camden was one of those characters. Regardless, this author always delivers a story I love. I fall for the characters and care about their story. I also love seeing the characters from the previous stories. Camden, due to the coaches intervention, obtained a whole lot more than he bargained for, and Danica received something she thought would happen nor had she been looking for. Another 5 star read. I am looking forward to the next book.
