The Tithing is the first book in The Sacrifice series. This is Azrael Delacroix and Willow Wildblood’s story. You can easily read this book without having read The Society series and if you want to read another series by these 2 authors, I highly recommend them.

I love it when Natasha Knight and A. Zavarelli get together to write a book. I pretty much know it is going to be good. And OMG did it surpass my expectations! YES IT DID!

Willow may be vulnerable but she is also strong, capable and confident woman, as much as you can be when you are facing The Tithing and you know what the Society is expecting. Both the Delacroix’s and the Wildblood’s are expected to “tithe”.

There is a cliffie at the end of this book. One that I expected but that didn’t help me and I really need the next book, now! Fortunately, it’s not too long of a wait. This was a 5 STAR read for me! I loved it!

The Tithing (The Sacrifice #1) by Natasha Knight and A. Zavarelli. The Delacroix and Wildblood have been at odds for centuries. Now, Azreal Delacroix has to fulfill his duty at The Tithing. Willow Wildblood bears the mark that designates her for The Tithing. The tradition is as old as time, and now Azreal is not so sure whether he can fulfill his duty. This story is unlike the other stories regarding the IVI, aka The Society. If you haven’t read the previous books, please do so. You will not be disappointed. Willow is a witch, so there is a supernatural twist to this story. Azreal and Willow’s back story is very interesting. He, too, comes from what the story says, a Fallen Angel. Azreal is a tortured soul who has a lot of baggage. Part of the story is discovering his demons. When Azreal claims Willow. He never expected his obligation to turn into so much more. Now, as the attraction between Azreal and Willow’s grows, the two have to contend with their family’s obligation. There are other forces as work that have their own agenda. Both Azreal and Willow don’t know who to believe and who to trust. All that is going on makes for a good story, but the ending took this story to another level. I am so excited to see what will happen next to Willow and Azreal. I am more excited at the direction of this story. This ending was everything. A 4.5 star read for me.
