The Penitent is the second and is the last book in The Sacrifice series. Azrael and Willowโs story concludes. We were left with a whopping ending in The Tithing.
These 2 authors had my attention from start to the end of The Penitent. Once I started reading I didnโt want to put the book down and I read it in one morning.
I was about ยพ of my way through the book and I wondered how this book could end without another cliffhanger but this book does have a conclusion! And everything gets wrapped up in a pretty bow! I loved reading this story. It was a 5 STAR read for me!

The Penitent (The Sacrifice Duet #2) by Natasha Knight and A. Azrael gets newsvhe didn’t expect. Willow is missing along with her sister and his sister. That grandmother is something else. We know the part she played, but Azrael does not. He is beside himself, trying to get her back. He knows The Disciples and Caleb has them. The fate that possibly awaits Willow, Raven, and Rebecca is not good, especially after seeing those pictures . This was a fabulous story. Once again, that grandmother. Between what we think she is doing to Rebecca, her behavior and her thoughts regarding Willow and what she wants Azrael to do, has steam coming out of my ears and daggers in my eyes. Once all is revealed, I was floored. With The Disciples and Caleb on the loose, Rebecca’s illness, The Tithing and what that entails, all this is reeking havoc on the relationship between Willow and Azrael. They are falling for each other, and each wants the happily ever after. However, the past history of their two families and the family obligation is like a heavy weight wrapped around their necks. The paranormal aspect was a twist that I really enjoyed. My hope is that we will get a book about Emmanuel and Raven. Yes!!! 4.5 stars for me. I also want an update on Azrael and Willow.ย
