The Wicked Sting: Codename Scorpius: Apex Tactical Book 3 by Candice Wright. Avery is back. She is waiting for the right opportunity to give a message to the guys at Apex. We knew her story regarding her being married to Creed and Hawk and her disappearance. Now she is back, and when the find guys find out, they are not happy at all. Avery is back because she was given a message by way of a vision. However, how she left has left a sour taste in the guys mouth. And to compound insult to injury, the premonition from the end of book 2 does not help how the guys feel about her. This was a really good story. Hawk and Creed struggle with their feelings regarding Avery. They are hurt because of how she left them, but they still love her. Avery, too, is struggling with her feelings regarding Hawk and Creed. She feels betrayed by Hawk and Creed. She really didn’t want to come back, but she knew she had to deliver this message. It is a matter of life and death. Now she has to deal with old her old feelings for the guys plus how they hurt her. Between the misunderstanding and the vision, this story kept me on my toes. I loved how the author set the scene for the next book in the series. A 4.5 star read for me. I’m definitely looking forward to the next bookย
