OMG this book was great! But you better like reading dark books that are full of TWโs. The Wallflower is book one in the Oakmount Elite series. This is Andrew โDrewโ Marshall and Maybell Jacobs story.
So I knew ahead of time that there was going to be a cliffie. That still doesnโt help with the wait.
I loved the strength and fortitude that Maybell has. I can certainly see what makes Drew the way he is and if I could hate a character, it would be Drewโs father.
I guess I am one of J.L. Beckโs girls that โlove filthy, dark, deprived romances! Because I loved reading The Wall Flower! Now bring on book #2 The Wildflower.

The Wallflower:A Dark New Adult Romance (Oakmount Elite Book 1) by J.L.Beck tells the story of Drew a spoiled rich kid who has everything but behind close doors he is emotionally, mentally and physically abused by his father. Drew and his crew run the college, and each year, they have a hunt. It is a popular event, and everyone wants to be a part of it. Maybell is from the wrong side of the tracks. She is extremely intelligent. Therefore, she goes to the prestigious college on scholarship. She tutors other kids to bring in extra money. It is at the library she ends up on Drew’s radar. To make matters worse, she ends up participating in the hunt. The grand prize would come in handy considering her mother’s illness.
However, what she didn’t expect was to be claimed by Drew. This story was so good. The chemistry between Drew and Maybell was fire. There were quite a few twists and turns. The ending ended on a cliffhanger that had my jaw hitting the ground and my head exploding. I am so looking forward to the next book. 5 mind-blowing stars for me.
