The Lethal Touch: Codename: Rana: Apex Tactical Book 4 by Candice Wright looks like the last book in the series. The story picks up with Lana and the children who were saved now at Apex. With the revelation of who Lana’s father is and her possible connection to Salem, the house is on high alert. Yes. They are suspicious of Lana, her motives, and if she is truly a victim in all of this. Also, Wilder and Crew have another reaction to Lana. She stirs up feelings in them that have them totally confused. Upon finding out she is only 17, which puts her totally off limits sexually which becomes a real issue since every time they are around her, they want to do inappropriate things to her. They also are leading charge if they we trust her parade. It is their conflicting attitude and action that are confusing not only to themselves but Lana too. Lana knows the only way to keep everyone safe is to leave Apex and try to stay one step ahead of her father and The Division. Once she is gone, the fellows embark on getting her back. A good but sad conclusion to this series. I always enjoy this author’s stories regarding women who are battling against evil but have a strong fight back spirit regardless of how bad they have been treated. Strong, resilient, and independent women. I also enjoy the men who fall for them. It’s always a funny time dealing with the other characters. A 4-star read for me.
