Shackled (Wicked Vows Series) by Jane Henry. Next up is Lev. He is the youngest brother, and when we first met him, he was attacked by their enemies. If you haven’t read the previous books, please do so. Reading the previous books is not really necessary to read this story. However, it helps to know the characters and the background. Also the previous 3 books are really good. I definitely enjoyed each book. Now, at a meeting to discuss their latest enemy, they discover they have an intruder. At first, I was wondering if I was going to like this story, but boy, oh boy. The intruder disguised as a man is actually a woman but no ordinary woman. She happens to be the sister of the enemies they were discussing. Isabella has a plan, and getting caught was not part of the plan. She needs Lev and his family to get rid of her brother. She wants to be Queen. Lev, however, is tasked with discovering her secrets. He also plans on marrying her. The two of them keep me entertained throughout this story. They definitely had a love-hate relationship. Regardless, the sex was great, but the trust was an issue. I enjoyed them getting to know each other as they fell in love. They most certainly have chemistry. Chemistry is enough to burn down a whole town. However, the ending was a little lackluster for me. I was expecting more. Regardless, I enjoyed this story, and I give it a 4. So, I’m looking forward to the next book.
