Psyop kings (The Crowne Conspiracy# 1) by K Webster. Romy’s classmate doesn’t show up to class one day, and it looks like she just fell off the face of the earth. Not believing her friend just up and left, Romy thinks she was kidnapped. Following a hunch, Romy finds herself kidnapped. This story was a true mind f@ck. It was like like Alice in Wonderland falling down an acid laced rabbit hole. As Romy tries to keep her wits intact, her captors are doing everything to undermine her mental state. Caius Crowne has plans for Romy. She just doesn’t know what they are. Caius is cold and calculating. The family business is definitely shady and illegal. As he tries to keep Romy in check, he also has ulterior motives. This was a fabulous start to this series. At times, I couldn’t tell what was real and what was imagined. Book 2 can’t come fast enough. Romy has found herself in some deep trouble and involved with some sick and depraved people. She has no clue how deep the rabbit hole goes. All she can hope for at this time is getting herself and her friend out. Don’t know where the author will take us in the next book. However, I am truly ready to find out. I have way more questions that need to be answered, and I know it will be a while before I get my answers. And I know my mind will be blown. I devoured this first book. 4.5 stars for me
