Brogan
I didn’t plan on hooking up with my new brother-in-law’s best friend… or marrying him.
Life hasn’t been easy, and it’s left me a little bruised, and a lot cautious. So, when I wake up in Vegas married to Maddox, I’m convinced it’s a mistake. A drunken accident that we should undo before anyone finds out.
But he doesn’t see it that way. He asks for six months. Six months to show me we could be something real. And I don’t know why I say yes, except maybe a part of me wants to believe him.
I’m not sure I deserve someone like him. But with every look, every touch, and every little gesture, Maddox is breaking down my walls.
That’s why the next time he asks “what about now?” I know I’m going to say yes.
Maddox
I always thought Brogan was off-limits. Our paths didn’t just cross, they tangled.
If things didn’t work out between us, it would hurt a lot of people. So I stayed in my lane, convincing myself it was for the best.
Until Vegas.
One too many drinks, a blurred wedding chapel, and a couple of shiny rings later, Brogan wakes up next to me… as my wife.
She’s ready to call it a mistake and move on, but I see it for what it is: fate handing me the chance I’ve been too scared to take.
So I make her a deal. Six months. I’ll prove we belong together, and if she still doesn’t believe it, we’ll walk away. No hard feelings.
But I’m not going down without a fight. Flowers, her favorite coffee—I’ll give her everything she never knew she wanted, including me.
And one of these times when I ask if she believes it yet that were meant to be, I just might get the answer I’m hoping for.
Because I’ve waited long enough to make her mine, and this time, I’m not letting her go.

Does He Know (Everlasting Ink #1) by Kaylee Ryan is the story of Emerson who has a major crush on one of her brother’s best friends. Roman, too, has feelings for Emerson. However, he is 10 years her senior and one of his business partners’ little sisters make it hard for them to be together. One chance encounter is the catalyst to Roman and Emerson discovery of their mutual attraction. That was all Emerson needed to actively start to pursue Roman. Roman has real reservations about pursuing a relationship with Emerson. He has seen Emerson growing up. Her brother, Roman, and the other 3 business partners have been bestfriends since they were 5 years old. The guys have a thriving tattoo parlor. Having a relationship with Emerson could destroy all that if things go sideways. It is a cute story of 2 people who have feelings for each other but know one person can kill all that. Emerson’s brother is the only factor to them being together. Their journey to being together was rough. Perseverance can make all the difference. A nice start to this series. Fortunately for me, I read the first books in a row. 4 stars for me.

Is This Love (Everlasting Ink #2) by Kaylee Ryan. When Legend gets a surprise messae from his deceased grandmother, a person he never met. He discovers if he marries within a year and stays married for a year, he will receive an inheritance. Initially, he could care less about the money. He doesn’t know ger and his mother was ostracized by her. When Monroe volunteers to marry him, he gives it some thought. The guys want a new tattoo parlor. He could set his parents up for life. He has known Monroe forever since she is Emerson’s best friend. What started out as two people doing each other a very important favor morphed into something special. Legend and Monroe were something else. One of the stipulations of the will states that he will be checked on by the grandmother’s lawyer. Monroe has stipulations herself. Monroe and Legend had to realistically pull off a fake marriage as a real one. The more time they spend together, the stronger their feelings grow. Even if he is a fake husband, Legend certainly takes his role as husband seriously. I’m sure they didn’t expect to fall for each other. A true love story of two sweet, kind, and generous people who found their happily ever after. This series is getting better with each book. Legend is everything. 4.5 stars

Are You Ready Everlasting Ink #3) by Kaylee Ryan. Forrest is Emerson’s older brother and 1/5 of Everlasting Ink, which is the best friend’s tattoo parlor. Now that Emerson is married to Rome, he is living in that big house he bought for her all alone. When the gang would hang out at his house, he had the room. Now, with 2 of the 5 guys married, Forrest doesn’t need all that room. He is lonely and doesn’t know what to do with himself. He knows Briar and her twins from Emerson. After going to Briar’s house for the twin’s birthday party, Forrest develops feelings for Briar. When he sets his sites on Briar, he knows she has some hidden trauma. He just didn’t know the extent of her trauma. Briar likes Forrest. He is not only good to her but also to her twins. She wants to date, but she is apprehensive. As Forrest chips away at the wall she has surrounded around her heart, Briar is still resistant, but she still wants him. It is a real touching story of a family who endured a lot of loss and is still standing. Briar decides she wants to try with Forrest, and their journey to healing is one of true love. Not only does Forrest fall for Briar but also her twins. Once Briar finally shares her truth, real healing can begin. Seeing their family coming together put a big smile on my face. Forrest is kind, understanding, and patient. A 5 star read for me.
