Lita’s Book Review: 4.5 Stars
Because The Night: A Vampire Romance by Kylie Scott. Skye finds herself going to a house to inspect the conditions and inadvertently goes into a room she should not have gone. The next thing she knows, she is bitten on the neck. Not knowing what is happening to her, she finds herself involved in a whole new world. Lucas has been sleeping for 70 years. When he is unexpectedly disturbed by Skye, he didn’t see things turning out the way they did. I certainly didn’t know what to expect from this story when I decided to read it. I thought the premise of the story was interesting, and I was wondering where the author would take this story. Boy, oh boy, was I pleasantly surprised. I loved this story. As Lucas is discovering the things he has missed during his slumber, Skye mourns a life she no longer will have. The interaction between some of the characters had me laughing hysterically. The slow, simmer burn between Lucas and Skye was everything, and to boot the side story was interesting. I sure would love another book or two with Skye and Lucas. I would also be interested in a story about the other characters in this story. Hint hint. This story put a smile on my face. 4.5 stars for me. Yes!!!!!!!
