Lita’s Book Review: 4 Stars

Matteo (Legacy of Heathens #1) by Eva Winners is the story of Matteo and Arianna. Both children of the Mafia, they have grown up together. Matteo has had a thing for Arianna since his 8th birthday. Arianna could care less about Matteo. How dare he! Arianna’s twin, however, has proclaimed her intentions of marrying Matteo every since his 8th birthday party. Now grown, Matteo’s attraction hasn’t changed. If anything, his feelings for Arianna have grown. As time has passed, Arianna has now discovered her feelings for Matteo. There is just one problem, her twin sister’s feelings for Matteo have not changed. If anything, Hannah’s feelings for Matteo have even grown. Arianna, being the most sensitive of the two, has a struggle on her hands. Not only has she had to deal with that but with other things that seem to stem from her family’s past. I really enjoyed this story. Despite the fact Matteo was slated to takeover the head of the Mafia in his area,he was a true romantic. He certainly didn’t have any issue expressing himself to Arianna. Matteo was not only good-looking but was any girl’s fantasy of a boyfriend. This story, even though it was serious at times, had me laughing out loud. I definitely look forward to the other books in the series. This was a very good start to this series. Can’t wait for the next book. I’m so glad Nikola is up next. He is a silly, sick individual. He kept me entertained in Matteo. Matteo was a 4 star read for me.
