Lita’s Book Review: 4 Stars

Nikola (Legacy of Heathens #2) by Eva Winners tells the story of Nikola and Skye. We met both of them in book 1, which is Matteo. Matteo isn’t necessary to read Nikola, but 1) it is a good story, and 2) the information will just give clarity when reading Nikola. Skye has had a crush on Nikola for a while. She has tried several things to get his attention. What Skye doesn’t know is that Nikola has feelings for her too, and she has definitely got his attention. As the heir to the Russian mob in New Orleans, Nikola feels Skye is too pure and too good for him, and she deserves better. However, when things are going to change for Skye, Nikola knows he can not let it happen. Skye is his, and he will do whatever is necessary to have her for himself. As I was reading this story, I finally realized that there was something familiar about some of the characters. The Stolen Empire Series was a previous work by this author and was about Skye’s family on her mother’s side. If you haven’t read the series, please do. Heck, as I was reading this book,I wanted to reread the series. Oh, so good. You won’t be disappointed. Back to Nikola, I loved Nikola and Skye and their journey to being together. Nikola was funny, loyal, and a little psychotic. And he definitely loved Skye and would do anything he thought was best for her. Skye was very surprising. There was more to her than her fashion. I am looking forward to the next book. 4 stars for me.
