Lita’s Book Review: 4 Stars

Crimson Oath: A Vampire Fantasy Novel (The Firebird and the Wolf Book 2) by Elizabeth Hunter picks up with Oleg still wanting Tatyana. He is also dealing with the issues that are going on with his company. As long as Oleg has been on the earth, this may be the first time he is really in love. Tatyana is also having an internal battle with herself. Her biggest battle she is having is reconciling with the fact that she is a vampire. She never wanted this life, and the adjustment is taking a toll on her. Her sire is dead. She is with other vampires that are not her family. They don’t understand what she is feeling, and she is struggling with her feelings regarding Oleg. I do have to say that because book 1 came out in December of 2024, I struggled due to the length of time between the two books. However, once I got into the rhythm of the story, I really enjoyed it. The struggle Oleg and Tatyana had trying to reconcile their feelings they had for each other kept me entertained. Tatyana’s struggle trying to find her way in her new existence took her to a place that gave her some time to get some perspective. This story was a nice segway between this book and the next book. The ending definitely has me looking forward to the next book. The biggest drawback is book 3, which doesn’t come out until the summer of 2026. Regardless, this book was a 4 star read for me.
