Love in Riverbend: Steaming Small Town Romances by Aleatha Romig is actually 3 of her previous books put together into 1 book. The first story is of Kandace and Dax. Kandace lives in Riverbend, and Dax spends his summers at his grandparents’ house. At his grandfather’s funeral, he leaves something special with Kandace. When Dax comes back after his grandmother’s funeral, he comes back to Riverbend. While fulfilling his grandmother’s wishes, he discovers what he left. The next story is Justin and Devan. Justin is Kandace’s brother, and Devan is Justin’s best friend Ricky’s younger sister. At the town’s pig roast, Justin runs into a mysterious woman who has him instantly smitten. When Justin goes to help Ricky move his younger sister from college, he discovers his mysterious woman is Ricky’s sister. Between the fact Devan is Justin’s best friend’s sister and the 10 year age gap, the two may not be able to find their happily ever after. However, Justin knows what he wants. The last story was Molly, who is best friend of Devan and Ricky. Not only is there the age difference, a sister’s best friend but also Molly lost her virginity to Ricky her senior year. After that night for Moly, who had a crush on Ricky, he gave her the cold shoulder. The relationship between the two was never the same. However, when Ricky reaches out to Molly for a favor, things change. Each story was a journey of overcoming obstacles and finding their happily ever after. I enjoyed each story and reading them back to back added to the enjoyment of the stories. Yes, the page count was intimidating, but it was well worth the read. 5 stars for me.ย
