She is the assistant physical therapist on the team. When an abusive ex from her past suddenly appears as a member of the Rampage, Rowan has no choice but to open up about her past. Thinking on his feet when he sees Rowan being cornered by the ex, Landry decides to pretend to be her boyfriend. Rowan goes along with the charade. What starts out as pretend eventually turns into the real thing. For Landry, falling for Rowan was not hard at all. Even before she began being a part of the inner circle, Landry thought Rowan was a knockout. Rowan has all these demons not only from the abuse of the ex but being raised in foster care, struggles with her feelings for Landry. The journey of these two going from make believe to reality was fabulous. The abusive ex was a real piece of work. Seeing him unravel as Landry and Rowan get closer was entertaining but also scary. There was also a side story that added another layer to this story. I also love their inner circle relationship. The way they have each other’s back puts a smile on my face. I really enjoyed this book. 4.5 stars for me. I am looking forward to Foster’s story. Hopefully, he is next.
