Beautiful Torment is the first book in the Empire of Kings series. This is Angelo Vitale and Abella Morettiโs story. It has been a while since I have read one of A. Zavarelliโs books and I am so glad I read this one.
Angelo was out for revenge. He spent a little time in prison and he felt she was a part of putting him away. Abella is now engaged to Angeloโs brother. In which you can guess that Angelo isnโt happy about it.
I loved reading Beautiful Torment and couldnโt put this book down! I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I think it will be Gabi, and I donโt know whom, but I am sure he will be a delight, maybeโฆ..

Beautiful Torment (Empire of Kings #1) by A Zavarelli is the story of Abella and Angelo. They we supposed to have gotten married unfortunately he was sent to prison. After which, she ends up getting engaged to his brother Matteo. This engagement we find out is not one of love but some type of arrangement. Still engaged six years later, Abella has a stalker who knows more about her than he should know. In the beginning, she didn’t take it seriously, but now,things have escalated. When her stalker is made know, Abella finds herself caught between a rock and a hard place. This is a story of lies, deception, and secrets. There was a lot going on in this story. Jealousy, envy, and revenge are also part of this story.ย Abella never stopped loving Angelo. There were just circumstances that made it easier for the two never to reunite. Angelo definitely had other plans. Everyone has their own agenda. One secret was drawn out way too long, and others have yet to be resolved. With that being said, there has to be another book. Loved Abella and Angelo. They were certainly made for each other, and thier sexual chemistry was through the roof. 4 stars for me.
