The Mysterious One (The Weston Group #3) by Marni Mann. Walker has been a powder keg due to the stress of not only being the eldest of the Weston siblings but a renowned chef. After an extremely stressful night at the restaurant Walker is calling it quits. When his sister comes up with a plan, Walker ends up meeting Alivia. Alivia decides to escape her life for one night from an alcoholic neglectful mother and an equally alcoholic, as well as verbally abusive step father. Alivia just wants to get a free moment from the chaos of her home life. She wants out. Walker wants out of the chaos of the many responsibilities he must handle with being an extremely accomplished chef and entrepreneur. The two of them end up spending some time together. The sexual attraction is off the charts and Walker can not get enough of Alivia. However when their paths cross again the attraction is still there. Getting to know Walker and Alivia’s story together and individually was so good. Walker has his issues but Alivia’s are enough to make a person want to not only cry but also want to fight. Such a good story. Good from the beginning to the end. Matter a fact I finished this book in one night. 5 stars for me.
