She is a screenwriter in LA after escaping her mafia king father in New York City. Starting over she is determined to distance herself from her dad. However when a war is looming at home, her dad sends Wes to guard her. This story was different from their other stories. Not a bad different, just not as comical. This story was definitely more serious and emotional than their last couple of books. Of course Wes is built like a Greek god and good looking. And yes Juliette is drop dead gorgeous. Yes the two have an attraction to each other. However Wes was given direct instructions not to get involved with Juliette or else. The more time they spend together the edict to stay away gets harder to follow. When a devastating secret is discovered their relationship explodes. Once again these two authors never disappoint. This story was so good and the ending was even better. Certainly didn’t see that coming. I was left with the biggest smile on my face. Another 5 star read for me
