	Title: In the Shadows Author: V. L. Wren Genre: Dark Reviewer: Tanya Rae Stars 3.5 ☆☆☆.5 All I can say is wow for “in the Shadows” and wow for the ending of this book! Wow! There are definitely twists and turns to this book with a few that I didn’t see coming! I am not going to repeat what this story is about, that is what the Synopsis is for. I think this book is well written especially for a first book. I do have a few concerns about “in The Shadows”. One being that this book is about a 17 year old girl Gabriella (Ella) and I feel that with some of the things that happen to her that there is no reason she has to be 17, other than she is young and naive. Bad things continue to happen to Gabriella. Most of In The Shadows is set in the UK. I don’t know the laws there but, can underage kids drink legally because Gabriella sure did a lot of that as well as clubbing? I also have several other thoughts & questions. What was the tragedy Nick suffered? What was the significance of his tattoo? Why bring up his drawer of toys and kink if it’s not going to come up in the story? And what was the purpose of giving us the kinky info on Alex’s dad? Warning: there is a lot of HOT Sex, non consensual and otherwise. There is sex with a minor so if you don’t like that be wary. I would have given 4 stars if Ella had not been 17. All in all I will definitely read the next book in this series. And I need to find out more about Liv and yes you have to read “in the Shadows” so that you will know about Liv. 😉 This ARC was received for an honest review. All I can say is wow for “in the Shadows” and wow for the ending of this book! Wow! There are definitely twists and turns to this book with a few that I didn’t see coming!
