Sasha’s Dilemma

LOVE— it’s a common word that people take for granted. As for me, Sasha Adams, I have seen that love isn’t everything, though sometimes it’s meant to be. But to be honest, I never wanted it. That has been my plan for as long as I can remember. The only person I ever wanted to love is my sister Lola. But then I met not one no, not even two— but three beautiful men.
Dylan, the doctor, had his head screwed on tight. Josh, well, he was a tattooed sex machine playboy. Then there was Brax, the rock star. It was clear they all wanted my heart, but I wouldn’t give it to any of them willingly.

Unwillingly, I fell hard, but there was a part of me that knew he could destroy me. So I refused to give him all of me, and now he’s returned and determined to win me back. But it’s too late, isn’t it?

Lisa G’s Review:

I received a complimentary copy of Sasha’s Dilemma for an honest review.

I read the first line – this is not an HEA! – and knew that I would need to remind myself of this throughout the book.  Therefore, I felt somewhat prepared for the outcome. I love love love reading book from authors in other countries – the slang and wording always grabs my attention and T.L. Smith was able to do that.

Sasha doesn’t love – she saw her mother wanting to be loved by too many men that she was turned off. I honestly did not like Sasha throughout most of this book – I felt she was a whiny, selfish girl. Did my perspective change during the book? No. I did, however, respect her and some of her choices.

Sasha’s dilemma is that too many men want her attention. Not a bad problem to have, right?  Dylan is an absolute sweet, good-hearted man – he is the safe guy.  Brax is a musician, totally hot. I hope to hear more about him in the future. Josh – he is a tattoo artist. Yeah, he’s a hottie too. Which one does she choose? You’ll need to read to find out!

Parts of this book ran together for me and I caught myself needing to reread the paragraphs. It would skip to another “subject” without leading me into it. I would have loved for T.L. Smith to slow the pace down on some of the storylines so that they could have been told in more depth and completion. Another part was completely unrealistic, and threw me so far down into a loop I wasn’t sure what just happened. I couldn’t let this go and had a difficult time focusing on the remainder of the book.

Rating this book on the storyline alone – 3.5 Stars.

Sasha’s Demons

Sasha
I believed my life was happy and content and that I would never love or need love. That was true until Josh walked into my life. Then he ripped my heart out and tore it to shreds.
My heart is a broken mess and I’m not sure how to fix it. I think Brax wants to be the one to help fix me, but I don’t know whether to give myself to someone again. I can’t risk it – I just can’t. It will end up destroying me, of that I am sure.

Brax
She is broken and keeps on pushing me away, soon she will realize I am the one who will mend her heart, and no one will love her like I will, I am it for her. Together, she will fix us both.
I let her walk away once, that’s not going to happen again.

Lisa’s Review: 4.0 ★★★★

I received a complimentary copy of Sasha’s Demons in exchange for an honest review.

I am going to be the first to say I was reluctant to begin this book – Sasha had left such a sour taste in my mouth. I didn’t know if I could “cope” with her again. I was happily surprised, honestly!!

While Sasha still made me angry and I felt she was selfish and hurtful – she grew on me. Did I love her? No. Did I like her? Yes. Do I still want to punch her in the throat? **sigh** Sometimes. This says much more than my review of Sasha’s Dilemma.

Sasha continued to feel bad for loving Brax when Josh was dead. Her guilt was eating at her soul.  “I love two men, two incredible men. They have both left an imprint on my heart that will never escape”  Most of us are lucky enough to have one amazing man in our life – Sasha got two! They will both melt your heart.

Sasha pushed and pushed and pushed with Brax – he was so taken by her that he continued to endure her abuse. One of my favorite lines in the book was when Brax let Sasha have it.  “I f’n love you…I’m f’n head over pig sh!t in love with you, woman, and all you do is push me the F away”. Well said Brax, well said – I was screaming it for you!

“He sees the good, the bad and the ugly and still wants me for me” – we saw so much ugly, and I give Brax so much credit for sticking by her side. Only a real man would do that for the woman he loves.

I will leave you with one last quote:

“Love is something only some are granted. Soul mates are something that is missing from ones soul, you won’t even know they are missing till they come along” Brax and Sasha are indeed soul mates – he completes her – makes her a better person. Brax IS the reason I grew to like Sasha.

4 Stars.

I love to read, absolutely love it.

Let’s rephrase that I’m bloody addicted, I would read a book a day.
I live in beautiful Queensland and have for nearly my whole life.  I have 2 beautiful children that always put a smile on my face.

I’m a vivid dreamer and decided one day I was going to let it all pour out into a book. I like emotion and I try to put as much as possible in there ❤
