***Author’s note: this book is a reissue of The Stevens Place. The cover and title have changed, but the story remains the same.***
I spent another week in Prague. He was very busy, putting in fourteen to sixteen hour days. I occupied my time with some shopping and a little sightseeing. Others from the cast and crew spent a little time with me as well. I actually had a great time and a lot more understanding of what life was like for a movie actor.
Aidan was a phenomenal lover, always tender, as well as living up to his vow to bring me pleasure. We always fell asleep holding one another afterwards. I was going to feel cold and empty when I went home. Again, I pushed those morose feelings away. I had every intention of enjoying each second I had with him. I was bound and determined to live in the moment. Refusing to fret over what he meant to me, or how much I wanted and needed him in my life. He was truly my other half. I was smart enough to know that the beginning part of any relationship was easy. It was the years down the road, learning to work through all of life’s ups and downs together, that truly made a soul mate. Plus, I’d been around long enough to know, nothing stayed happy forever.
First off I want to say is there may be some triggers of domestic violence in this book. Lora Ann doesn’t glorify these triggers and it is all about the story. And, there is a HEA at the end of this book.
Lora Ann is bringing this book back out under a different title and put a new cover on the book. As I Love You was formerly The Stevens Place.
As I Love You is a very moving story. While it does have a Happily Ever Ending there are some quite emotional parts. Aidan Kellum first met Beth when they were young and Aidan also was friends with Beth’s brother, Brian. Until Aidan’s parents got a divorce and he was forced to move away. Aidan is an actor now. He became one by chance when he was young. In the right place at the right time. One day he finds his way back to the town he grew up in and finds his way back to Beth. There are a lot of ups and downs throughout this book. And, as I previously mentioned it is an emotional story.
I loved As I Love You but, there are a few spots that dragged and it is a longer book. But, all in all it is a VERY GOOD book and worth the read. At least I think so.
I give As I Love You 4.5 Stars and recommend reading this book.
