I have been wanting to read Angel Payne’s books for a while now and this was a perfect opportunity.
Mastered is book 8 of the Honor Bound Series and this author said that it can be read as a standalone.
This is the first book that I have read by this author. I wish I could say that I loved reading this book. It is the type of book that I absolutely love. But, I felt bored. I know that Angel Payne said that Mastered could be read as a standalone. Maybe that was the problem. If I had read the other books that were written before this one I might have felt differently.
I kept looking at all the 5 star reviews and wondering why I didn’t feel like this book was 5 stars or even 4 stars. I feel that most of those 5 stars was from people that have already read most or all of this series.
I will read another book by Angel Payne that is not the 8th book in the series and see how I feel then. For now, I am going to give Mastered 3 stars which I hate to do and blame it on myself for starting with the 8th book.
