Secret Keeper by Christopher Harlan is the story of Dylan. He is the personal assistant to one of the wealthiest men. However Dylan has found himself unemployed due to his boss moving. When a new job opportunity arises, Dylan must prove himself with a 3 test trial. One of those test is getting his new possible employer’s fiancee to come back home. There is just one problem. Dylan has had a thing for Penelope and after what he witnessed Penelope is to good for her ex. As Dylan works through each test he sees how much of a dirtbag Chandler aka possible new employer really is and how Penelope is something really special. This was my first book read by this author and right off the bat I liked the way he told this story. I was pulled in at the start of this story. I really liked the characters and I knew I wanted to read this author’s other books. Dylan is everything and is a true sexy, blue eyed bad boy with the swagger to match. Yummy. He is also a loving and caring individual which made him more appealing. The dynamics between Dylan, the old employer, the possible new employer, Penelope and the rest of the cast of characters made for a journey of a story I enjoyed taking. Would love to have more of Dylan and Penelope. 5 stars for me.

Wicked Bedmate (Cocky Hero series) by Jenika Snow. Linda has just been humiliated in front of her coworkers and fired. While dumping her problems on her best friend, he suggest a blind date with his boyfriend’s brother. He assures her he is good looking and at least she will get a free meal. The date is something else. To pass the time till he gets there Linda has a couple of drinks to lessen the anxiety of the date. Jason is tall, good looking and evidently successful. Linda wakes up the next morning in Jason’s bed not knowing what she did. Needing to get ready for a job interview she leaves Jason and does the walk of shame. At the interview she discovers the job is for a personal secretary to no other than Jason. The problem is they had a great time on the date and the sexual attraction is strong. However Linda getting so drunk that she can’t remember how she ended up in Jason’s bed is embarrassing. Linda really wants and needs this job. Jason really likes Linda. He hasn’t been interested in another woman in awhile. This is the problem. Jason gives Linda the job however he wants more. She wants more but will not jeopardize this job. This made for a cute story of two people trying to fight their feelings for each other while keeping it professional. I was entertained by these 2. The sexual tension could be cut with a knife. The question for this story is how long can Linda hold out for her feelings for Jason and or how long will it take Jason to get Linda to stop fighting the mutual attraction. 3.5 stars for me.

Cocksure Ace (Cocky Hero Club series) by K Webster. Sheridan is a real piece of work. She is the way she is because losing her mother at 9 and trying to prove herself in a man’s world has left her uptight and closed off. When she is on a chartered flight to her father’s wedding in Costa Rica, circumstances put a monkeying wrench into her life. Initially when I started this story and saw how this flight was going down I was horrified at the unprofessional behavior of the flight crew. And then I was agitated at Sheridan’s behavior. Then to put the cherry on the top was the other passengers on the flight from hell. You see an impending hurricane has the plane making a detour which really sets off Sheridan. By then I was loving this story. I laughed till I thought I would cry. I enjoyed this story to the very end. However this story was what is was due to Camilo, the sexy, good looking, not going to take Sheridan’s stuff pilot. The interaction between the two was just the best comedic and sexual banter I hadn’t read in a while. I feel in love with all the characters. I would love to read a book from almost each of the characters. I smiled, I laughed, I frowned, I cried, I got mad, heck this book had me all over the place. I wouldn’t mind reading this book all over again. 5 mile high stars for me.
