Money can buy anything. And anyone. As the head of the Constantine family, I’m used to people bowing to my will. Cruel, rigid, unyielding—I’m all those things. When I discover the one woman who doesn’t wither under my gaze, but instead smiles right back at me, I’m intrigued.

Ash Elliott needs cash, and I make her trade in crudeness and degradation for it. I crave her tears, her moans. I pay for each one. And every time, she comes back for more. When she challenges me with an offer of her own, I have to decide if I’m willing to give her far more than cold hard cash.

But love can have deadly consequences when it comes from a Constantine. At the stroke of midnight, that choice may be lost for both of us.

Bettina A’s Review: 5 STARS

Ash just realized that her college fund has been depleted because of her father. Now she has to work a cleaning job to start saving for college. After one night of not doing her job properly she finds her self in front of Winston Constantine, a ruthless man. Winston owns NYC and the people in it. He keeps people at a distance and he destroys people for fun. When his office isn’t cleaned to his standards he plans on firing the person after first making them and the company pay. Winston finds that Ash is willing to negotiate anything for money to save for college. And so the negotiations begins. What started of as sick and deprived is not something different. Can Ash soften Winston’s cold heart or will Winston break her heart when the negotiating ends?

To be honest this book is not for the faint hearted. I know I shouldn’t like this depraved book but I do. I haven’t read a book like this in soo long.. I felt like Ash, I shouldn’t like the things Winston does to her but I did. I could barely put this book down. This truly is a Cinderella story with a twist. I have say that K. Webster is killing me with cliffhangers. I need the next book like yesterday. For all my kinky friends I would definitely recommend this book.

Lita T’s Review: 4.5 Stars

Stroke of Midnight (Cinderella # 1) by K. Webster is not your ordinary retelling of the child fairy tale of Cinderella. This is a real sick, kinky and depraved story of Ash Elliot. Ash had the perfect life till her mother died and she ends up with a mean stepmother and cruel triplet stepbrothers. Her college fund almost depleted she is working cleaning offices at night. One office gets her into big trouble. Winston Constantine is the king of New York. His family owns almost everything. When his office is littered with candy wrapper the only person he can blame is the cleaning staff. Laying in wait for whoever cleans his office, he didn’t expect Ash. She stirs something in Winton’s depraved soul. He not only wants to punish her but he longs to humiliate her too. Winton strikes a deal with Ash that sends them on a journey neither one expected. What Winton wants from Ash isn’t normal but what he is offering will allow her to replenish her college fund. What started as a one time spanking of humiliation progress to humiliation to the enth degree. This was sick stuff and at times it was hard to believe.  With Winton on one side and her deviant stepbrothers constantly intimidating her, she doesn’t know what she really want. The story kept me on edge. Between the kinky stuff going on between Winton and Ash then her scary stepbrothers, I was just as raw as Ash was. The ending made me hot. This was a cliffhanger I didn’t expect and it has me looking forward to the next book. On the other hand I wanted to ring Ash’s neck for being so gullible. Oh!!! And those stepbtothers, I could string them up. 4.5 stars for me.
