βYou throttled me.β She levels me with a stiff glare.
βI remember seeing a bruise.β It was an impulse, a need to inflict pain with her pleasure, to ground myself.
Yanking the neck of her sweater down, she scowls. βBecause you like to leave marks, right?β
A shadow passes through the room as I stand and stalk toward her, devouring the space between us. Tilting her chin with my forefinger and thumb, I trace the light bruises blemishing her soft, creamy skin. I got carried away, held her too tight. Leaning down, I whisper against her ear, βYou want me to kiss them better?β Her intake of breath brings a smile to my lips. She likes the big bad wolf. No matter how much she tries to deny it, claim she hates me, her body doesnβt.
Fucking ditto.
I swipe my tongue across her neck, capturing her with an arm around her waist. Her legs almost give in. Sheβs sensitive, her nerves firing. Closing my mouth over her sore little neck, I suck, kiss, caress the bare surface.
Pulling away to face her, my balls draw up at the unfiltered lust blazing in her eyes. βAsk me to kiss you,β I tell her.
Rapid breaths lift her chest up and down. βAsk me, Freya,β I command.
βNo.β She closes her eyes, her tone husky.
A dark chuckle rumbles past my lips as I grasp her jaw, cupping her beautiful face. βFucking ask me.β
βI hate you.β
βI hate you too. Now fucking ask me.β
βKiss me,β she cries. Not a plea, but shame. Sheβs ashamed at how fucking badly she burns for the monster who frightens her so much.
βSay my name,β I growl.
βNoah,β she whines.
βKiss me, Noah,β I instruct.
Silence.
I tug her forward, inhaling all her sexual heat.
βSay it, Freya, and Iβll give you what you need.β
βKiss me, Noah.β She sobs. My insides churn at the decision I make. Slamming my lips against hers, I ram my tongue past the seal of her delectable lips, taking my fill.

Kings of Blood and Money is the 4th book out in the Underworld Kings Universe. These books can be read in any order. This is Freya, Remi & Noahβs story. All I can say is WOW! I loved this story. Ker Dukey really knows how to weave a story that keeps you interested throughout the book!
I have to disagree with Ker Dukey when she says this isnβt a love story. It is and itβs about revenge too. It isnβt everyone’s love story though. It is dark and a taboo story but you will have to decide that on your own.
Loved it and canβt wait to see whatβs next by Ker Dukey!

Kings of Blood and Money (Underworld Kings Series) by Ker Dukey. Freya at 7 when she not only witnesses her father do something terrible to her mother, her father trying to hurt her and she ends up kidnapped. Locked in a room she has her cat Midnight. There is a guy who let’s her know that where she is at is her new home. She is to call him father. Father has twin boys Noah and Remi. Remi is nice to her but Noah scares her. Father is cold and living in a locked room makes her feel isolated and unloved. All she wants is her mama. This story is her life growing up. Ker outdid herself with this story.Β Needless to say I got very little sleep. Regardless to the fact they were raised like brothers and sister, their relationship took a turn and that line was crossed. Not only was the line crossed but is was stomped, kicked, burned and decimated. This story also had many twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. Yes!!! At one point I was clutching the pearls while screaming. A good story from the beginning to the end. I don’t want to give anything away. Just know you will not be disappointed. This was a 4.5 star read for me. I am really enjoying this Underworld Kings Series.
