Dark Reign by Amelia Wilde is the story of Emerson and Daphne. I initially wanted to read this story because of Daphne being a Morelli sibling. If youare not aware there are several books about the Morellis and the Constantines. I just love the stories about the siblings. Like I said there are several books by different authors dedicated to the 2 families and the siblings. Not sure which book I was first introduced to them. Let me start with this book does end on a cliffhanger and there will be at least one other book. As I started reading this story I knew something was off regarding Emerson. He is a reclusive and renowned art collector. As well he is a billionaire who is obsessed with Daphne. Emerson sees the world differently than most and you get a sense that something is not right with him. Daphne is the quieter sister. She recently graduated from art school and is a painter. Distancing herself from her family name she lives over a old art gallery. Emerson seems to be playing a cat and mouse game with Daphne and Daphne is certainly confused with how she feels. It was also great seeing Leo her favorite brother, the overlap  of the previous books and their stories. Eventually I came to understand why the author told this story the way she did. It was definitely a clever way of seeing the world from Emerson’s perspective. Definitely did see how this book was going to end. So looking forward to the next book. Author gave me just enough tidbits that I want to know more plus I want to see how things develop between Emerson and Daphne. 4 stars for me.
