Lita’s Book Review: 5 STARS
City of Thieves (Underworld Kings Series) by Catherine Wiltcher and Cora Kenborn. I can say I got very little sleep ready this book. Renzo aka Lorenzo Marchesi part of the Machesi crime family is intent on avenging the death of his Underboss older brother who was killed in an art deal gone wrong. Inorder to get into that world he enlist a young art gallery owner Tatiana Sanders, daughter of corrupt Senator Sanders. If you haven’t read the Corrupt Gods Duet by the authors, please do. It is a really good read and the Senator is in those books. Because Renzo doesn’t trust any one, the more time he spends with Tatiana he knows something isn’t right. The sexual tension between them is through the roof. The more he learns about her and her secrets, the more he discover the trouble she has herself into. As Renzo puts the prices together we are treated to a story that had me guessing what was going on and who all was involved. So good!!! I definitely didn’t expect all the twist and turns with this story. There were so many layers to this story. These two authors haven’t disappointed me yet. A dynamic writing duo. So looking forward to their next endeavor.Β Way to go ladies 5 star read for me.Β

City Of Thieves by Cora Kenborn
Tanya’s rating: 5 of 5 stars
I have been looking forward to reading City of Thieves. Knowing that it was coming out in the Underworld Kings Universe. Which is a series of books written by multiple authors.
Reading the books in the Underworld Kings Universe is a great way to discover new to me authors as well as established authors that I have read. This book, City of Thieves is co-written by Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher, both authors I have read before.
This is Renzo Marchesi and Tatiana Sanders story. Both characters are in the Corrupt Gods duet. You donβt have to read the duet to know what is going on in this book. But if you want to read the Corrupt Gods series, I do recommend the books.
This is a book about revenge. Do know that this book may have triggers for some. Bad things happen. There is a Happily Ever After. So, things do turn out great!
Another great book by these 2 authors! 5 STARS!

EXCERPT
I press the intercom, prompting a security guard to glance up from his station. Running his eyes over my expensive suit, he buzzes me in.
βMarchesi,β I state, noting he doesnβt even check his guest list.
βMiss Sanders has requested you join her in the atrium.β Following a half-assed pat down, he gestures to the far end of the art gallery. βThrough those double doors. Canβt miss it.β
Wouldn’t want to.
As I walk, my gaze trails like dirty fingers against each canvas. They all look like kidsβ paintings to me. Still, Iβm impressed. At twenty-three years old, Miss Sanders has created quite a business for herself.
Shame sheβs about to lose the whole fucking thing.
Stepping into the glass-domed atrium, I spot her slender silhouette right away. I take in her profile as she gazes up at some abstract piece of shit painting that looks like gasoline-splashed asphalt. Sheβs more than appraising the canvasβsheβs absorbed in itβher head tilted to the side, her dark hair still twisted into that tight bun from yesterday morning, not a hair out of place, with her tight black pencil dress holding all her secrets in.
What is it about this woman?
My type is uninhibited, not uptight. But thereβs a dark part of me that wants to see her come undone in my hands; to take a hammer to that icy facade and see whatβs really underneath. To close my fists around that hair and arch her back as I slam my cock into that frigid pussy.
I take a step closer.
She must have heard me, but sheβs refusing to turn.
And another…
βCareful, Miss Sanders.β I move in close behind her, watching as her shoulders stiffen. βYouβre becoming dangerously predictable.β
Her eyes never stray from the painting, while my eyes never stray from her tiny waist, the material gently flaring into the kind of curves that make me pay close attention.
βAnd howβs that, Mr. Marchesi?β
Christ, even her voice is like a rainstorm in December.
One more step brings us to an even level. βYou have a strange fascination with complicated artwork,β I note, gesturing at the canvas.
βOh?β
βDoes it reflect a complicated woman?β
She tilts her chin in the air, the light catching on a razor-sharp cheekbone. βHave you come to psychoanalyze me or to take something else that belongs to me?β
Dangerous words, Miss Sanders.
Remorse isnβt a trait found in the Marchesi gene pool. Iβm here for revenge. Iβm here to use, destroy, and ruin, and that includes her and her precious paintings if need be.
When I donβt answer, she clips out, βYouβre five minutes early.β
βOnly a fool steps on unbalanced ground when heβs expected, dolcezza. Yet, you donβt seem surprised?β
βShould I be?β
Look at me, for fuckβs sake.
Her aloofness is both infuriating me and making me want to pin it up against the wall. Instead, I flatten the smirk tugging at the corners of my mouth. Iβm almost impressed. Iβm rarely knocked off focus. However, cold detachment isnβt a new game, and Miss Sanders is about to get a lesson she wonβt soon forget.
βMost people are grateful when their date arrives on time.β
βA date? Is that what this is?β A low, sardonic laugh rumbles in her throat as she finally turns on those killer high heels and aims her green eyes right at me.
Sheβs even more beautiful up close, delicate features like fine china covering a hard shell of indifferenceβ¦
But everything breaks for a price.
