There once was a girl,
tarnished and ruined by the actions of others.
Some are born plagued by darkness,
but she was doused in it by those she trusted.
Like Lucifer himself,
she fell from the heavens and landed amongst the flames.
Now she wears her crown black,
with diamonds coated in the blood of her enemies.
This isn’t the story of a girl who saved the villain.
This is the story of a girl who became something much worse,
and the man who loved her for it.

Excerpt
“I’ll see you later, S.”
I nod. “Yeah, sure.”
The second she’s out the door, Kage is already heading toward me. “What the fuck was that, S?”
It takes everything in my power to hold back my smile, amused with how possessive he is. “I don’t know. She’s determined to become my friend.”
“And you’re okay with that?”
I shrug half-heartedly. “She’s…tolerable. And besides, it’s not like I can go out and find new friends, being dead and all.”
He stares back at me before shaking his head. “No. Nope. I don’t like it.”
Giggling, I stand up and walk toward him, dipping my fingers into his pockets. “I can’t spend the rest of my life with just you and Beni.”
He cocks a single brow at me. “Who the fuck said Beni is invited?”
“Kage,” I laugh. “I need other friends.”
“Why?”
Arching up on my tippy-toes, I press a kiss over his heart. “Because they keep me from wanting to kill you in your sleep.”
His hands land on my arms, and he moves me away from him so he can look down at me. “How many times have you considered doing that exactly?”
“Four…”
“Oh,” he says, relieved.
“…teen.”
Sputtering on air, his jaw drops. “Fourteen?”
I tilt my head side to side. “Give or take a few.”
“Saxon!” he groans, his amusement slipping through.
“What?” I ask innocently. “You’re a little insufferable sometimes.”
The corners of his mouth raise as he stares down at me. “Mm-hm. Great. I’m sleeping in the panic room from now on.”
A laugh bubbles out of me as I press my lips to his. “That’s probably smart.”
Screams in Symphony by Kelsey Clayton
Tanya’s rating: 5 of 5 stars
Screams in Symphony is the second and final book in the Malvagio Mafia Duet. Kage and Saxon’s story continues. After the whopping cliffhanger that we had in Suffer is Silence it was a welcome relief to get this book!
Kage is a killer and Saxon finally starts coming alive again with a taste of revenge and she thirsts for more.
I don’t think this book is meant to laugh in but there was a scene that had me chuckling when “Ro” Roman told Kage.
“With all due respect, Boss, she’s mean. I’d really rather not be in the middle of this.”
I just had to laugh out loud! There was a big surprise at the end of the book that I didn’t see coming.
I loved reading Screams in Symphony. I started reading it and I couldn’t put this book down. Not until after 1 am when I finally got to “The End”.
Oh I think I should add this. This book is not for the faint of heart! It is pretty graphic and on the violent side. So beware if you should have any triggers.
This series is the first that I have read by this author and she has a new fan, ME! 5 Stars
Lita’s Book Review: 4.5 Stars
Screams in Symphony (Malvagio Mafia Duet #2) by Kelsey Clayton was a book I really anticipated reading. Book 1 left me with a cliffhanger that had me clutching the pearls and screaming. This book picks up basically where book 1 left off. Kage has made it Saxon in time to get her to the hospital. As Kage continues his vendetta against the men responsible for his father’s death he now has to deal with who was involved in Saxon’s shooting. I don’t want to give to much away because I want you to enjoy the journey the author took me on. As more information was learned and secrets revealed, I couldn’t get enough of this story. So many twist and turns with a sprinkle of several surprises. A wonderful end to this series. Looking forward to the author’s next book as well as reading some of her previous works. If they are anything like this duet, I should be in for some good reading. 4.5 stars for me. Be prepared. Kage is even more brutal.
