Defiant Queen (Savage Heirs #6) Jagger Cole picks up with Mara dealing with the fact that Konstantin shot her. Going back to the scene of the crime she hopes to jar her memory to remember the tragic moment. Unfortunately when she get there things don’t go the way she planned. Now she is right back where she was before she left except Konstantin now knows someone is trying to kill her. This cat and mouse story was outstanding. The author kept the suspense going till almost the very end. While trying to figure out all the pieces to the puzzle of who can be trusted and who is a snake, we are treated to the development of the relationship between Mara and Konstantin. Couldn’t put this story down. There was even a twist at the end that I certainly didn’t see coming. Quite the unexpected surprise. I am so hoping there will be another book to this series. 5 stars for me. Enjoy!!
