Witches, Vampires, Demons, Wolves and Dragons oh my!

Cruel Queen is the second book in the Crystal Castle Series. The first book introduces 3 sisters, Tatiana the eldest and is involved with John, Tanya the middle sister and Melvon. Talia is the baby. She is Queen and doesn’t want to be. The sisters are all 3 years apart but born on the same date.

There is intermingling going on. You are only supposed to mate with your kind and Tatiana is a Witch and John is a Wolf, Tanya is a Witch and Melvon a Vampire. Talia is a Witch and Queen and Grim the death angel. These witches have obviously not followed that rule.

You will never believe who Talia’s father is. I am not going to tell you. You have to read that yourself!

I really enjoyed reading Cruel Queen there are some surprising twists and turns in the story. I always am looking for the next book that T.L. Smith will write and I can’t wait for the next one! 4.5 Stars for me.

Cruel Queen (Crystal Castle #2) by T.L Smith picks up with Tatiana trying to not only reconcile herself with all that has happened but reconcile herself in regards to the prophecy. In her quest it seems to be one thing after another. I can say the story might not have been as strong as others I have read in this genre but where the story is lacking I am loving everything else about this story. I love the characters especially the dynamics between Tatiana and Grim. Then we get introduced to Max and the story takes another turn. Then when Tatiana starts learning more about who she is and her powers, we are treated to another aspect of this story. I am looking forward to this author’s growth in this genre. I always enjoy her stories and her characters. The author is definitely one of my authors who I will always read and review. This was a 4 star read for me. A real page turner.

While this was not one of my normal books I did enjoy it a lot. I don’t know how to feel when Talia’s father is revealed and invoked but I was able to get over it. Honestly, I felt like we went in circles with her love life. (I’m happy with who she ended up with but did we really need all that suspense?? Lol) I still love her character and her strength. I’m on the fence about her sisters, Tanya and Tatiana. While I understood Tatiana’s reason I still didn’t like it. As you can tell TL brought out a lot of different emotions out of me. Lol. If you read the first book and is on the fence about finishing the series DO IT!! I highly recommend completing this series, it is worth it. You still watch Talia’s growth into herself. This was a wonderful read!
