Tanya’s Review: Blood Glyphs was different from what I have read of Cari’s. First off this is a short story (Novella) which I was very happy to read in less than a couple of hours. Cari Silverwood isn’t known for writing light and fluffy reads. Blood Glyphs is no exception, this is a Dark Urban Fantasy. This wasn’t her typical book, although, I am not sure she has a typical book. Cari is ever imaginative and she really makes you think. I loved the Afterword from the Author that she wrote. Cari really does love to mess with your mind and she wanted to let whoever reads her book let loose with their own imagination at how the book ends. Great book! Do heed the WARNING: This story contains graphic violence and adult content, though it is not erotic. Some people may find this story disturbing. Don’t buy the book if these things disturb you! But, if you are like me and buy & love books with warnings like this I think you will enjoy Blood Glyphs.
Book Description from Amazon:
When your own mind is tricking you, who can you believe?
Having to figure out whether she was alive or dead had never figured in her dreams or her nightmares. Climbing out of a grave was Nefer’s first mistake. Falling in love again, with the same man she’d met a thousand times before, was her second. Sometimes you have to lose before you can get up and fill the evil ones with a truckload of bullets.
Even a nemesis has her off days.
