by Roxy SloanZoe Warren wants to be a successful journalist, but she can’t get a job because she doesn’t have experience. She can’t get any experience without getting a job. Zoe is set to get into Dax Ryan’s exclusive, members-only club to get the scoop of a lifetime and kick her journalism career into high gear. Her strategy is to get a job working at the club, dig into and expose the many secrets its patrons pay lots of money to keep quiet. What she doesn’t expect is to be attracted to the club’s very alpha owner. Dax is a ladies’ walking wet dream, and he sees something in Zoe, but he’s not quite sure what that something is.This was a very short read, but in keeping with her previous books, it isn’t short on heat. I loved this start to what promises to be another great series from Roxy Sloane. She has mastered the art of packing a great, hot story in short increments.
I received this ARC for an honest review, and I give it 4.5 O’s.
The Exposé 2
by Roxy Sloane
The stakes are getting higher, and Dax and Zoe are getting closer. Still determined to get the story to shoot her journalism career into high gear, Zoe is beginning to see how people will be affected by her exposing the club and its dirty secrets. Sticking with her plan, she continues her investigation and stumbles upon a couple of items in Dax’s office.
Dax trusts Kate (Zoe) even less, but he can’t seem to stay away from her. He’s obviously attracted to her, but he’s also intrigued by her. So he goes with the plan to keep her close to him, so he can find out exactly what she’s up to.
Meanwhile, Dax receives another anonymous note, and is no closer to knowing who sent it. He has an unexpected visit from someone in his past. Someone he hadn’t wanted to see, but who seems to have a plan to get his hooks in Dax once again.
Zoe finds herself at a crossroads when Dax finds out something about her and her secrets. The story is definitely picking up and I’m very excited to see where it goes.
This is the second book in the Exposé series. I received this ARC for an honest review, and I give it 4 stars.
Somebody is after me, and they don’t care who they hurt to get their way.
I have to protect her.
I need to possess her.
It all ends tonight.
*The fourth and final part of the explosive serial!*
by Roxy SloaneThe adventure continues. Dax still doesn’t know the source of the mystery notes, but that’s not his biggest issue at the moment. He finds out what Zoe’s been keeping from him, and is very upset. She confesses everything to him, and prays that he understands and forgives her. Dax has a zero-tolerance for betrayal, and he just can’t get past the fact that Zoe made a fool of him. While trying to figure out a way to get Dax to forgive her, Zoe discovers Dimas’ plan, and why he needs help from Dax’s club. She offers to team up with Dax to help get rid of Dimas once and for all. Dax and Zoe continue to get closer. He’s tired of fighting his draw to her. He still doesn’t completely trust her, but there is something about her that keeps him from pushing her away.
Meanwhile, danger hits someone very close to Dax, and it becomes a matter of life and death that he get these mysteries solved sooner rather than later.
I am so drawn into this series, and I’m both afraid and excited to see what happens in the final installment.
