“I’m sending you a girl.”
“She needs sorting
out. I’m talking
Exit Strategy. That’s what we call
deprogramming these days. You might call it brainwashing. It’s one of my
skills. Give me a man whose idea of heaven is a suicide vest, and I can turn
him into a peace loving hippy wannabe.
“She’s a white widow?”
“No. Human trafficking victim turned sex slave and mule. She’s a fucking mess.”
Christ, poor little bint. Now I knew why Suarez was calling me.
“Mac” Mackenzie, covert operations expert, is all
set for an undercover job when an old friend lands him with
Pepper, a human trafficking victim of a Moroccan-Turkish crime syndicate.
Unable to turn her away, Mac now has two missions: to infiltrate a terrorist
training camp in the Sahara and to become a Master for Pepper.

Review By Tanya Rae 5.0 ★★★★★
I loved Deliverance! This is a standalone story and in this day in time it seems like there aren’t many of them. It was truly nice to read a book that had an ending! Now don’t get me wrong I love series books because then you really get to learn about the characters in the books. But, I hate cliffhangers and that is what you usually get with Serial books. I have already read Bonus by this author and I loved that book so I was eager to read Deliverance. A. J. Adams can really tell a good story.
In Deliverance you will get your HEA if that is what you are looking for and I know I am. I love Mac he took on a girl that had been treated horribly by different Masters. Mac didn’t want to take on Pepper but, I am so glad he did! Pepper was a human trafficking victim that was a sex slave and mule for moving drugs around. Mac was the perfect Master and he handled her so well. I can’t say more because I don’t like to give spoilers out.
I really enjoyed reading Deliverance and I wouldn’t have put this book down but, I did so I could go to work.
I was gifted with a complimentary copy for an honest review and I give Deliverance 5 stars.

Deliverance by A J. Adams The premise for this story has to be the strangest and most interesting story I have read. Mac is retired military from the Queen’s Special Forces. Right now he has been taking odd jobs when he get a call from one of his old buddies he served with on some very dangerous missions. Suarez needs a favor from Mac. Mac is a deprogrammer and Suarez has a young lady who has been a slave all her life and knows nothing else. Mac really doesn’t want to take this project on since he is about to embark on a mission. Mac tries to pass off Pepper to a doctor he knows who can help but not only does he find out the doctor has retired but he is dead. Mac is stuck with Pepper and has to figure out the best way to deal with her severe trauma. Pepper has been abused and brainwashed to the point she cannot make any decisions for herself. Initially Mac takes on the persona of her Master doing things he would normally not do but because her case is so severe he has no choice. Mac ends up training Pepper like a recruit since he will be starting a mission in Africa as a mercenary training the troops. This is a story of healing, self-discovery and deliverance. I truly enjoyed the entire journey between Mac and Pepper and Pepper and the person who see becomes. Yes the setting of the story is not something that you would consider HEA or Erotic but do not sell this story short. I was pleasantly surprised and by the end of the story I felt truly entertained and had a smile on my face. I give this story 4 stars. I was given a copy of the book for an honest review.
