I loved reading I Got You. This is Jake & Benjamin’s story & I love books that just drag me in. It starts off with a heartbreaking scene of Jake and his BFF Alberto being beaten up and left for dead. How terrible that a person cannot live their life without fear. Just because you are straight doesn’t give anyone the right to beat up someone who is gay. You may not agree with their lifestyle but, in no way does anyone have the right to beat someone up just because you are homophobic.

I don’t like to repeat the synopsis because I usually feel the author does a much better job than me. This is a taboo romance not because it is a M/M read but, because Jake falls for his stepbrother Benjamin. Even though at first Benjamin doesn’t know that Jake is his stepbrother. This book is also a M/M romance so if this isn’t your type of book don’t read this book. But, if you love reading M/M that are smoking HOT then please do. I loved the book, loved the story and loved the ending!

This book was not an ARC it is offered for free at the time that I read I Got You and it is also offered on Kindle Unlimited which is how I chose to get this book. If the Author can make any money on their books then I am in favor of it!

Thanks for the little challenge Jeff Rivera. I wasn’t sure if I could read this book in 24 hours with all that is going on at the moment. You know work and family can get in the way of my reading time. But, I was able to read all 229 pages in just 24 hours. I loved the book and look forward to reading more from these authors, Jamie Lake & Jeff Rivera. I give I Got You 4.5 stars

Jamie Lake:

My name is Jamie Lake and I’m the author of more than 50 gay romance novels and novellas. I’ve been a big fan of gay romance books ever since I started reading them and I really try to do something a little different. Some of my favorite gay romance mm authors are Kindle Alexander, Sara York, Riley Hart and River Jaymes.

With my own novels, I like to give my readers all the hot steamy scenes they like, but I also write characters with a lot of drama.

Every single character I write has a piece of me in them and in many ways, their situations have mirrored things I’ve been through in my own life or other people I know have been through. Whether it’s Casey in “Boyfriend for Rent” who was kicked out his boyfriend’s house suddenly or Chris in “The Trainer” who was cheated on or even Peter in the “Bad Boy” series who was desperate to find love and stability, I’ve been there and done that.

Fortunately for me, I have a wonderful partner now, so I know the heights of true love but I also know the lows of a messy breakup. I hope you enjoy reading my gay romance mm stories as much I enjoy writing them.

And although my books have found amazing success, I’m so grateful for every single one of my readers who have helped me make my dream of becoming a full-time gay romance author come true. You rock!
