Prisoned by Marni Mann Kyle decides to go back home after being gone for many years to attend her best friend’s funeral. She is apprehensive about going back since she cut off ties with her best friends after a murder happened in their neighborhood. Billy has OD’d and Kyle has decided to come home but she is nervous about seeing Garin. They were the 3 amigos hanging on to each other trying to survive their life. After the funeral she decides to go out to have a drink with Garin, someone she has loved for so long. Upon waking up she finds herself and Garin in a strange place and locked up. The people who have them want to know something. Initially I thought this was just another story of a girl knowing a secret and was afraid to tell the truth no matter what. But this story was much more. This is a dark and twisted story that blew my mind by the end. The physical and emotional abuse Kyle and Garin endured should have made Kyle give up her secret. At times it was a tough read but I can say I loved this book. This story had me on my toes and at times I did not know if I was coming or going. By the last page I was like what the heck. I don’t want to give away what happens because you have to read this for yourself. Just be prepared for the rollercoaster ride. I can say I have read several books by this author and have enjoyed all I have read. But my dear has truly out did herself and I have every intention of reading this book again. I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. I give this this story 5 stars.

I honestly liked this book. It was my first book from this author and I did not know what to expect. If you are into dark and twisted books I would recommend this book. It had me guessing at times about who can be trusted and what was real. I would have given this book more stars, but during the parts with Kyle and Garin I just could not get fully into it. I loved everything Kyle went thru but once they were together I was pulled out of it. It was predictable at times but I did not see one coming. All in all I would recommend this book to others to read. Maybe they will like it more than me. 🙂 3.5 stars
