(#DOS Part One)

Release Date: February 28, 2017

The debut novel of a masterfully emotional, high stakes trilogy that will have readers forfeiting tradition to gamble with love…

December and Austin have a traditional, storybook marriage complete with defined roles. Married young, they’ve shared nearly a decade of passion and love. December’s submissive nature is perfectly suited for her husband’s authoritative, yet adoring personality and he seamlessly holds the indisputable role of head of the household.

But Austin harbors secrets, and the pressure of losing his job makes those festering skeletons impossible to ignore.

Turning to alcohol instead of his wife, Austin finally drives December into the arms of their closest friend, Cord, despite her intense loyalty. Cord has loved December since the day they met. His moral compass is challenged and lines are blurred when Austin steps aside and insists Cord take his place.

Forfeiting all, Austin must face a harsh truth. Take control of his life, or forever lose the woman he loves.

Tanya Rae’s Review: 4.5 STARS                                                                                                                                                                                                                   I really loved this story so much so that I started Book 2 Lost Together immediately and fortunately for me it was on my kindle. I really enjoyed reading Forfeit. This is the first book in the Degrees of Separation trilogy. Things were going so well in December and Austin’s marriage until Austin loses his job. Austin has always been the dominate in their marriage and that is just how December has always wanted it. But, when after losing his job Austin starts drinking and not seeming to be worried about where the money is going to come from to pay the mortgage or even buying food.

Cord is Austin’s best friend and he has loved December since he has known her. He would never think of doing anything with December even though he loves her but, she is married to his best friend. I am not going to say more because I don’t do Kindle. Do read the little warning prior to the start of this series. I give Forfeit 4.5 STARS.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.                                                                                                                                                            ************************************************************************************************************************************* Lita T’s Review: 4.5 Stars                                                                                                                                                                                                          Forfeit (Degrees of Separation Trilogy 1) by Lydia Michaels is a tale of December, her husband Austin and his best friend Cord. They met at a festival one day but it was Austin who automatically knew December would be his wife. They have lived the story book life with Cord coming over every now and then for a cooked meal till a set of circumstances have left the trio estranged. It is these set of circumstances that have turned Austin and Decembers’ ideal life in shambles and she has no choice but to turn to Cord for help. This is a story I did not expect. Cord has always had feeling for December but he had put them aside for the sake of his best friend. Now his friend wants him to do for his wife what he is unable to do. This is a recipe for disaster but it definitely makes for a good story. I cannot wait to see how this situation will unfold. It can’t be good. It is like looking at a train wreck you know is going to happen but you can’t look away. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I give this story 4.5 stars and I look forward to the next 2 book. Kudos on a fresh and original story.

Tanya Rae’s Review: 4 STARS                                                                                                                                                                                                                      I can’t believe that Lost Together has been written by 2 authors, Lydia Michaels and Allyson Young. They have written this book so well you can’t tell who wrote what.

I am very lucky that I had Lost Together on my Kindle after finishing reading Forfeit. But, now I am waiting for Atonement to show up on my Kindle and all I can say is I wish I had waited just a little bit longer to start this series because I have been left hanging! And, I am waiting for the next ARC. Lost Together is not a cliffhanger but, it leaves you wanting more! I NEED to read Atonement!

Lost Together is the continuation of December, Austin and Cord’s love triangle. I will let you read the synopsis for yourself since I think the author does a far better job of it than I could.

I love this story and series and I can’t wait to read the 3rd book in Degrees of Separation Series. I need to find out what happens next.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I give Lost Together 4 Stars.                                                                                                 *************************************************************************************************************************************Lita T’s Review: 4 STARS                                                                                                                                                                                                    Lost Together (Degrees of Separation, #2) by Lydia Michaels picks up where book 1 left. December has left Cord after a night of passion. Cord is messed up over her leaving and goes to Austin to see if maybe she is there. Upon getting to Austin’s place he doesn’t find December but instead finds Austin trying to commit suicide. Cord is torn between his feelings regarding his lifelong friend who has fell apart and pushed his wife into his bed and that women he fell in love with the same day as Austin. Cord decides to help his friend. Moving into Austin’s house he helps Austin get sober and back on his feet. When December shows up after a time away the story really begins. Their love triangle is a journey that takes them each to a place they never thought was possible and revelations they never expected. I really enjoyed their journey of self- discovery. How do you go back to the way things were when Pandora’s Box has been opened? The author is very god story teller. This story is not about explicit sex or a dirty talking alpha man but a well told story about 3 people going beyond their comfort zone and discovering a life they never imagined. I read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am real excited to read the next book in their saga. I give this book 4 stars.

Tanya Rae’s Review: 4.5 STARS                                                                                                                                                                                                 Atonement is the last book in the Degrees of Separation Series and is book 3 and it starts off where Lost Together ends. Lydia Michaels and Allyson Young co-wrote this series. You won’t be able to tell who wrote what. You do need to read Forfeit & Lost Together before you read Atonement.

Cord and Austin are best friends and have been for a long time. December is married to Austin but, Austin messed up big time and sent December into Cord’s arms. And, I can’t say more but, Atonement was so good! I loved the journey that December, Austin and Cord take and I got my HEA.

Warning for some. Atonement is a MMF Ménage book. I wouldn’t buy this book if you don’t like this type of book. I happen to have loved Atonement and I give 4.5 stars

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.                                                                                                                                                     *************************************************************************************************************************************Lita T’s Review: 4 STARS                                                                                                                                                                                              Atonement by Lydia Michaels is the conclusion to the Degrees of Separation series. December, Austin and Cord are trying to navigate a relationship that neither of them ever expected. This book picks up where the 2nd book left off. Both guys love December and she loves them. There is no problem in that, it is the relationship between Cord and Austin that is new and strange. Neither guy has ever been with another man before. Austin has never had any desire to be with a man but Cord deep down has always had feelings for Austin. December does love both guys but the free love is reminiscent of her hippie parents. Her parent’s lifestyle has always been an issue for her and then there is how other people in their life will see their 3 way relationship. This story is just a continuation of their journey of self-discovery, acceptance and love. I really enjoyed their journey. The story was told in a way that had me wanting to see the journey to the very end and I was not disappointed. As I was getting to the end of the book I kept hearing in my head a saying my father use to say to me “To Thine Own Self be true” I think December, Austin and Cord were able to achieve that. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this story. I give this book 4 stars.
