One is a Promise (Tangled Lies, #1) by Pam Godwin- I really enjoyed this story. Danni is trying to get over a love that started out like a rocket flying to the moon but ended up crashing to the ground causing her heart to explode into a thousand pieces. Cole was supposed to have been her forever. He came into her life. They quickly fell in love then were engaged. He left for a contract job oversees which was supposed to have lasted a year but he never came back. Now after 3 years she decides she needs to get back out there and knock the cobwebs off her veejayjay. When Trace comes barreling into her life she starts feeling things she has not felt since Cole. Danni and Trace is a love- hate relationship. The sexual tension between the two and the mixed messages has put Danni on edge. Their relationship is very volatile and extremely entertaining. At times I found myself laughing out loud at the interaction between the two of them. I am so looking forward to the next book. I could not get enough of the two of them and the conclusion of the book had me saying “What!!!!!!!!” I never saw that coming. I voluntarily read an Advanced Copy of this book. This book was definitely a 5 star read. I truly enjoy reading this author. I never know what she will write. She can go from dark and twisted to light and funny. Each book has been a good read.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Once I started One is a Promise I just couldn’t put this book down! I love this story! You can always tell when you have a good book. I kept looking at how much more of the book and dreading the ending. I did know there are 2 other books and that this one would probably end in a cliffhanger and of course it did.

I can tell you that I can’t wait for book 2 Two is a Lie to come out! Fortunately it won’t be a terribly long wait it is scheduled to be out July 11, 2017 and you can pre – order it. The Tangled Lies Series will be a trilogy with the last book coming out Aug. 29, 2017. So, all in all this series will be completed this summer. Again, not too long of a wait.

I have read a quite a few of Pam Godwin’s books and this book may be my favorite now! If you haven’t discovered this author you need to.

I really don’t think I could choose which man to love! They both have characteristics that I love. Both are very strong personalities and very much the Alpha!

Oh, there are a few twists in this story that I didn’t see coming. Especially towards the end. I highly recommend this book! 5+++ Stars!
