Saoirse
I wanted him since the day I met him. Long haired, tattooed and tall as an Irish giant. He was
more than just handsome, he was drop dead gorgeous. And the only one who ever truly cared.
It didn’t matter to him that my father was a criminal and my mother a whore. He saw me,
understood me.

I could be anything I wanted, he said.
Except his.
Because I was too young and he was my Juvenile Liaison Officer.

Diarmuid
It’s been years since I last saw her. No longer a girl, she has a body of a woman. When our eyes
met again, I saw the only one who ever broke through my asshole mask. She never judged me.
She saw me, accepted me.

She could be anything she wanted.
Except mine.
Cause she’s only seventeen and I’m trying my hardest not to fall for her.

If I give in, she will ruin me.

*This is a slow-burn, angsty love story spanning across a seven-year time period with
sexual situations and drug-use involving characters under the age of eighteen.
Irish Kiss is a complete standalone novel with a Happily Ever After, but damn, it is going
to hurt along the way.*

Irish Kiss (Irish Kiss, #1)Irish Kiss by Sienna Blake

Tanya Rae’s rating: 4 of 5 stars

Irish Kiss is the first book in this new Irish Kiss series and is Saoirse & Diarmuid’s story.

After finishing reading Irish Kiss I was left with feelings that I had to take a bit of time to dissect. Then while trying to understand my feelings I read then note the author left on Goodreads.

Irish Kiss was a little slow going and was it ever angsty. Sometimes too much so. But, it does work its way to a Happily Ever After and yes it did hurt along the way. But, I loved this story. I fell in love with this long haired, tattooed, tall and gentle Irish giant named Diarmuid. He had so much conflict with his job, with Saoirse. He met Saoirse when she was just 13 years old. She was the daughter of a drug addicted mother. Who sold herself for drugs. Her father was in prison. But, once released from prison he sold drugs.

Diarmuid rescued Saoirse and no wonder she fell in love with him. This story is told over several years and nothing happens until Saoirse is of legal age. My heart goes out for Saoirse and the life she had to live. I am so happy that her one bright light was Diarmuid!

A good story but it did seem long.   I give Irish Kiss 4 stars and I look forward to reading the next story in this series and more from Sienna Blake.
